Abstract In recent years, the agriculture sector had witnessed a surge in entrepreneurial activity, driven by technological advancements, changing consumer preferences, and a growing awareness of sustainability. Agricultural entrepreneurship plays a crucial role in fostering rural economic growth and sustainable development in India. Agro-based enterprises, such as food processing and biofertilizers, play a crucial role in value addition, employment generation, and promoting economic integration between rural and urban areas. It also plays a vital role in transforming traditional farming into an innovative and profitable business model. With global population growth, rising food demand, and technological advancements, agripreneurship offers significant opportunities. However, entrepreneurs in the agricultural sector face complex challenges that must be addressed for sustainable growth. Noting calls for contextualizing Agro entrepreneurs problems and challenges of the agro entrepreneurs and for greater attention to the Role of entrepreneurs in agro entrepreneurship research. This research article explores the potential opportunities, persistent challenges, and strategic recommendations for agricultural entrepreneurs.This article delves into the myriad opportunities available to entrepreneurs in agriculture, ranging from precision farming to value-added products. However, alongside these opportunities lie significant challenges, including access to finance, market volatility, and regulatory hurdles. By navigating these challenges and capitalizing on emerging trends, entrepreneurs could play a transformative role.
