| Abstract | The evolving global economy and rapid digital transformation have significantly influenced career preferences among young individuals. Generation Z students increasingly demonstrate a shift from traditional employment toward entrepreneurial aspirations. This study examines the career preferences of college students between entrepreneurship and employment, focusing on factors such as awareness, training, financial knowledge, and perceived barriers. The research adopts a descriptive design using primary data collected from 76 college students through a structured questionnaire. The findings reveal that while a majority of students show a positive inclination toward entrepreneurship, several constraints—including lack of training, limited awareness of modern financing options, and perceived risks—continue to hinder entrepreneurial intentions. The study also highlights the dominant role of traditional financing sources such as bank loans and personal savings. The paper contributes to the existing literature by integrating theoretical perspectives such as the Theory of Planned Behavior and Human Capital Theory to explain career choice dynamics. It offers policy and educational implications aimed at strengthening entrepreneurial ecosystems in developing economies. |
