| Abstract | This research paper presents a comparative study of factors influencing cashless payment adoption among Generation X and Millennials in Malabar. Employing a descriptive research design, data was gathered via an online questionnaire from a purposively sampled 100 respondents, comprising 50 individuals each from Generation X and Millennials. The collected data was analysed using percentage analysis and independent samples t-tests. The empirical findings reveal that while both demographics exhibit high awareness of cashless payment systems, Millennials demonstrate a significantly stronger preference for cashless transactions. Furthermore, the drivers of adoption vary across generations: Millennials are primarily motivated by perceived ease of use, convenience, and security whereas Generation X is heavily influenced by social factors. Ultimately, this study has improved the understanding of adoption of cashless system among Millennials and Generation X in Malabar. |
