Author(s) Dr. Asha Mathew
Country India
Abstract With the development in technology and the growing demands adoption of technology and Artificial Intelligence in Indian education sector has grown exponentially. However this growth and development is predominantly focussed on the academic administration and academic delivery. The student assessment process which is a vital in teaching and learning process has taken a back step for accepting digitized format for evaluation. Most of the researchers have predominantly focussed on the willingness to adopt technology in academic delivery. This study conducts an in-depth analysis of use behavior related to technology adoption in student assessments within Indian Management Institutes. The major stakeholders that are involved or impacted with the technology integration are faculty and students. Before the implementation of any new system, it is integral to get the confidence from the actual users.
This research focuses on the actual users of technology-based student assessment processes from the Indian management institutions. The findings of this research highlight significant factors influencing technology adoption for student assessments. The motivation for adoption of tech integrated academic assessment varies among faculty and students. A tailor made strategy and training program addressing the user behaviour can help with the successful adoption. This research identified ‘effort expectancy’ as significantly different between faculty and students when it comes to technology adoption for student assessment process. The in depth data analysis also pointed out that psychological factors like the ‘ese of use’ also have different impact on the faculty and students. This implies that faculty and students may have different perceptions of the ease with which technology can be integrated into the student assessment process and the effort involved
