Financial Literacy Among Individuals

Abstract This paper discusses the result of the study which was conducted to find out the level of financial literacy individual has. The data was collected from 54 respondents by means of structured questionnaire. The result demonstrates that more than half of the respondents are aware of various options that are available in the market such as various schemes, investment options, insurance plans, as well as budgeting but when it comes to practical application most of them either stick to traditional options or few of them do not practice at all. The result also showed that few of the respondents are not aware about investment, insurance, saving, budgeting, leading to lack of practical application.
