Forecasting Youth Employment Patterns in Dakshina Kannada Using Predictive Modelling: A Study of the Transition from Agriculture to Corporate Jobs

Author(s) Ms. Ananya Shetty, Ms. Kushi Shetty
Country India
Abstract This study analyzes youth employment patterns in Dakshina Kannada, focusing on the shift from agriculture to corporate jobs. Data collected from 60 respondents reveal that income instability, climate dependency, and limited career growth discourage youth from pursuing agriculture. Corporate jobs are preferred due to better income security and growth opportunities. The findings suggest that technology and policy support can make agriculture more attractive, leading to a balanced future employment pattern between agriculture and corporate sectors.
