| Abstract | Background: The study's objectives were to evaluate the effectiveness of balloon blowing exercise on respiratory parameters among 6-12 years children having lower respiratory tract infections. Need: National Family Health Survey (NFHS) has recorded a grim picture of public health in the country. Respiratory parameters looked worse in 2019-20 as compared to 2015-16. Nearly 1.0 per cent of children had respiratory illness in 2019-20 in Gujarat. Method: The study used a Quasi-experimental research design. Sample consists of children who are diagnosed as lower respiratory tract infection, asthma, bronchitis, and pneumonia within the age group of 6 – 12 years admitted to a pediatric ward. Sample size: The sample consists of 60 children those who had been diagnosed with lower respiratory tract infection. Among those, 30 participants were selected for study group and 30 for control group. Sampling technique: The researcher selected purposive non- randomized sampling technique for the study participants those who fulfilled the inclusion criteria. |
