| Abstract | Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) is a chronic metabolic disorder characterized by hyperglycemia result-ing from insulin resistance and/or impaired insulin secretion. Psychosocial stressors and emotional dis-turbances have been recognized as factors influencing glycemic control and disease progression. Home-opathy adopts an individualized approach that considers the patient's physical, mental, and emotional characteristics. A female patient with poorly controlled T2DM presented with elevated fasting and postprandial blood glucose levels, HbA1c of 11.2%, glycosuria, and associated physical and emotional complaints. Follow-ing detailed case-taking and individualized homeopathic assessment, Kali carbonicum 200C was pre-scribed alongside ongoing conventional antidiabetic therapy. Over a three-month follow-up period, the patient demonstrated marked clinical improvement. HbA1c decreased from 11.2% to 6.5%, with corresponding reductions in fasting and postprandial blood glucose levels and resolution of urinary sugar. Improvement was also observed in the patient's general well-being, emotional state, and associated symptoms. This case highlights the potential role of individualized homeopathic treatment as an integrative approach in the management of T2DM. The observed improvements in glycemic parameters and overall health warrant further investigation through well-designed controlled clinical studies. The case was reported in accordance with HOM-CASE guidelines. |
