| Abstract | In the modern business scenario, data analytics has become an important component of routine business operations. This paper studies the significance of data analytics in the Indian retail business sector. The reliability of the research questionnaire was tested using Cronbach’s Alpha, and the obtained value of 0.842 confirmed that the questionnaire falls within the “Good” reliability range. The study examines three major aspects: the role of data analytics in decision-making, its contribution toward improving operational efficiency, and the challenges faced by organizations while implementing digital analytics. Data were collected from 150 respondents from states including Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal through a five-point Likert scale questionnaire. For analysis, descriptive statistical measures such as mean, median, mode, variance, and standard deviation were applied. In addition, Chi-Square tests were used to test hypotheses related to operational efficiency, consumer behavior measurement, and predictive analysis. The results indicate that most respondents believe data analytics positively influences business operations and efficiency. The study ultimately confirms that data analytics significantly contributes to improving operational efficiency in retail businesses. |
