| Abstract | As we know, the use of AI tools is trending among the young generation for completing their academic tasks. AI is very useful from the point of view of a student for understanding new topics and searching for solutions to academic problems. Even students are using AI for coding, note preparation, and also for making presentations. But we know that every coin has two faces. In this paper, I want to study another aspect of AI tool use. In this paper, we are going to study the dependency of students on AI tools for completing academic tasks. From the study, we conclude that excessive use of AI tools reduces the critical thinking and creativity of students as they are directly accessing the content from AI tools. Students are not using reference books and library material to understand their study-related material. |
