Abstract This project presents a location-based mobile attendance system for teachers that uses smartphone GPS to record attendance accurately. Teachers can check in and check out only when they are within the authorized school premises, ensuring reliable and tamper-resistant attendance records. The system replaces traditional paper-based registers and barcode methods, which are time-consuming, error-prone, and vulnerable to misuse. By providing real-time attendance tracking, timely reminders, and transparent reporting, the application enables school administrators to monitor staff presence efficiently and respond quickly to attendance-related issues. The proposed solution reduces manual effort, improves accuracy, minimizes proxy attendance, and supports better classroom management through punctual teacher attendance.
