Abstract Background
Residual nasal deformity remains one of the most challenging sequelae in patients with repaired cleft lip and palate despite successful primary lip repair and staged maxillofacial reconstruction. Definitive correction requires restoration of both nasal aesthetics and structural support. Autogenous costal cartilage has become the preferred graft material in severe secondary cleft nasal deformities because of its strength, availability, and long-term stability. Secondary cleft rhinoplasty provides predictable functional and aesthetic improvement when individualized according to the underlying deformity.
