| Abstract | Artificial Intelligence is a rapidly advancing technology, and the world is witnessing its development. However, there is both a bright and a dark side to Artificial intelligence. This study addresses the threat and the need to strengthen the use of AI. Hence, the researcher aimed to understand the Research scholar’s perspectives on AI in research encompassed with strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, particularly in the context of reviewing and writing articles and theses. For the study, the researchers collected 149 samples using a self-developed research tool, the RAT (Research Applicability Tool), to examine the uses of AI tools in research. The finding shows low strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities, but higher threats. The study concluded that Threats are not about overusing AI but lack of its efficient use which leads to backwardness in quality research in a fast-moving AI World. |
