Digital Guardians: Exploring Technological Solutions for Women's Security

Author(s) Ms. Neha Rathore
Country India
Abstract Ensuring women's safety remains a critical concern worldwide, with many women facing threats such as harassment, rape, molestation, assault, and domestic violence. Traditional safety measures often fall short of providing timely assistance during emergencies. This research offers a comprehensive review of the literature examining Internet of Things (IoT) devices designed to enhance women's safety. It explores the pros and cons of advanced technologies, including the Internet of Things (IoT) and machine learning, to develop proactive solutions for enhancing women's safety. The proposed system involves wearable devices with sensors to monitor physiological parameters like heart rate and body temperature. By analyzing these metrics in real-time, the system can detect distress signals and automatically alert emergency contacts and authorities to the user's location, thereby eliminating the need for manual intervention. This approach aims to provide immediate support and deter potential threats, contributing to a safer environment for women. The study also addresses challenges related to data privacy and the need for user-friendly designs to ensure widespread adoption.
