Abstract Amra (Mangifera indica Linn.), a member of the family Anacardiaceae, is recognized as a potent medicinal plant with extensive therapeutic applications across various ailments. It has use in the treatment of Chhardi, Atisara, Karna Roga, Grahani, Raktapitta, Raktatisara, Javaratisara, Mukharoga and other diseases by using the different dosage forms of Amra like Svarasa, Kvatha, Churna, Taila, Ghrita, Avaleha, Lepa, and many more. The present review aimed to gather all the information apropos the used pattern of Amra containing formulations from 11 classical texts of the Ayurved compendium.
