Abstract Background: Chronic liver disease (CLD) is a major cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide. Chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) and hepatitis C virus (HCV) infections remain important etiological factors contributing to progressive liver disease, cirrhosis, and hepatocellular carcinoma. Early detection of viral hepatitis and associated risk factors is essential for improving patient outcomes.
