| Abstract | The rapid growth of e-commerce has increased the demand for digital payment systems that are secure, reliable, and efficient. Artificial intelligence (AI) has emerged as a powerful tool in meeting these requirements by enhancing payment security and improving transaction performance. This study examines the impact of AI-driven payment systems on consumer trust and purchase efficiency in e-commerce, with specific reference to Amazon Pay, PhonePe, and Razorpay. The research adopts a qualitative case study approach supported by secondary data analysis. Data were collected from company reports, industry publications, regulatory documents, and other credible sources to understand how AI technologies such as fraud detection algorithms, real-time risk scoring, and AI-enabled checkout optimization are applied in digital payment systems. The findings show that AI-based fraud prevention significantly reduces transaction risks and payment failures, thereby strengthening consumer trust. In addition, real-time risk assessment and intelligent checkout optimization contribute to faster processing times and smoother transaction experiences, leading to improved purchase efficiency. The comparative analysis of the three platforms reveals that AI integration not only enhances operational effectiveness but also positively influences consumer decision-making in online shopping environments. This study contributes to the existing literature by highlighting how AI-driven payment innovations successfully balance security and efficiency in e-commerce. The results provide practical insights for e-commerce firms and payment service providers aiming to enhance customer experience, trust, and transaction reliability through advanced digital payment technologies. |
