Abstract The study aimed to assess the level of anxiety among mothers of preterm babies admitted to NICU and to determine the association between anxiety levels and selected demographic variables. A quantitative research approach with a descriptive research design was adopted for the study. The study was conducted among 60 mothers of preterm babies admitted to the NICU. Participants were selected using a non-probability convenience sampling technique. Data were collected using a structured demographic questionnaire and a Modified Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The Chi-square test was used to determine the association between anxiety levels and selected demographic variables.
