The Role of CSR Activities in Shaping Consumer-Based Corporate Reputation: A Study of Indian Brands

Abstract Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has become a strategic policy to improve the CSR image of the company and improve the relationship with the customer. This study analyzed the effect of CSR activities on the corporate reputation from consumer's perspective for Indian Brands. The research type used in this study was descriptive research, and the number of respondents used was 120 consumers, obtained by questionnaires. The results indicated that there was a significant positive correlation between CSR activities and the corporate reputation suggesting that the social responsibility practices help to improve the consumer's trust, brand image and corporate credibility. The study underscores the need for companies in India to adopt CSR initiatives that are genuine and can help create a positive consumer perception and enhance the company's reputation in the long run.
