Digital Transformation through the Convergence of Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain: An Empirical Study of Adoption Drivers, Organizational Impact, and Emerging Challenges

Abstract	Digital transformation has evolved from a discretionary technology initiative into a strategic imperative for organizations navigating volatile, data-intensive markets. Among the technologies driving this shift, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Blockchain occupy a distinctive position because their convergence combines adaptive, data-driven intelligence with immutable, decentralized trust infrastructure. This study examines how the integration of AI and Blockchain influences digital transformation outcomes across banking, healthcare, manufacturing, retail, public administration, and education sectors. The research is guided by three objectives: to assess the comparative adoption maturity of AI and Blockchain across sectors, to evaluate the perceived organizational impact of their convergence on efficiency, transparency, security, and trust, and to identify the principal barriers restraining large-scale implementation.
