A Review on Pharmacological Properties of Alambushadi Churna with Special Reference to Its Role on Amavata

Abstract Amavata is a chronic, debilitating disorder described in Ayurveda, clinically comparable to rheumatoid arthritis. It is caused by the vitiation of Vata and accumulation of Ama, leading to joint pain, swelling, stiffness, and systemic involvement. Alambushadi Churna is a classical Ayurvedic polyherbal formulation traditionally indicated in Amavata for its Ama-pachana, Vata-shamana, and Shothahara properties.
