Abstract This study developed a Moringa oleifera lozenge as a potential herbal oromucosal delivery system for throat and oral care. The optimized formulation showed good physicochemical properties, uniform drug content, acceptable mechanical strength, and approximately 92% phytoconstituent release within 30 minutes. Taste-masking effectively reduced the natural bitterness of Moringa oleifera, improving palatability. The formulation demonstrates promising potential for providing antimicrobial, antioxidant, and soothing effects in the oral cavity, with possible applications in throat irritation, oral infections, and mucosal inflammation. Further in vivo and clinical studies are needed to confirm its therapeutic efficacy and safety.
