| Abstract | The question of Jerusalem is indeed the crucial issue in the Israel-Palestine conflict, which is still unresolved. Both sides are claiming their sovereignty over the city, however the position of the international community is different. The United Nations initially proposed Jerusalem to be corpus separatum – a unique concept of international regime, however, this concept never had a chance to be created. This article takes a problem-driven attitude and neo-functional approach and is aimed is to observe the current status of Jerusalem and its influence on the conflict as a whole, examine the involved actors’ positions and arguments and look for possibility and necessity of corpus separatum in our time. |
