| Abstract | The concept of a self-reliant India (Atmanirbhar Bharat) has regained national relevance in the 21st century due to the rapid evolution of technology, entrepreneurship, and global economic transitions. Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as a critical driver of innovation, enhancing productivity, transforming business models, and strengthening India’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. This research paper explores the historical development of Indian entrepreneurship, the emerging role of AI-enabled enterprises, and the ways in which AI supports economic self-reliance. By integrating theoretical perspectives, government initiatives, and sectoral applications, the study demonstrates that AI-driven entrepreneurship is central to India’s long-term technological and economic sovereignty. The findings suggest that AI is not merely an auxiliary tool but a strategic pillar in India’s journey toward sustainable self-reliance. |
