| Abstract | Employee training has become an essential strategy for organizations seeking to improve workforce competence, productivity, and organizational performance. In today's dynamic business environment, rapid technological advancements and changing customer expectations require employees to continuously update their knowledge and skills. Organizations invest considerable resources in training and development programs to enhance employee capabilities, improve job performance, and maintain a competitive advantage. However, the success of these programs depends on their effectiveness and the extent to which employees apply the acquired knowledge in the workplace. This study examines the effectiveness of training programs and their impact on employee performance. It explores the relationship between training, skill development, employee motivation, job satisfaction, productivity, and organizational success. The study also reviews various training evaluation models, including Kirkpatrick's Four-Level Model and Phillips' Return on Investment (ROI) Model, to understand how organizations can assess the outcomes of their training initiatives. The research is based on secondary data and primary data both collected from books, peer-reviewed journals, research articles, and published reports. The findings indicate that well-planned and properly evaluated training programs significantly improve employee knowledge, technical skills, communication abilities, confidence, and work efficiency. Effective training also contributes to higher employee engagement, reduced turnover, improved service quality, and increased organizational performance. The study concludes that organizations should align training programs with strategic objectives, conduct regular training needs assessments, and continuously evaluate training outcomes to maximize the return on investment. |
