Abstract	This study investigates the effectiveness of inclusive education practices in improving the academic achievement of students with special needs. A mixed method approach for collection of data was adopted. Participants are teachers working in inclusive classrooms. Data was collected through questionnaire, classroom observations and interviews. Overall, the results suggest that inclusive education fosters not only academic but also social inclusion and equal learning opportunities for all students.
