Beyond Classical Polarity: Networked Multipolarity, And India's Strategic Autonomy In The Networked Multipolar World In The Twenty-First Century

Abstract	This paper explores the changing nature of global power and argues that the twenty-first-century international order is moving beyond the traditional understanding of polarity. It puts forward the argument that traditional understanding of polarity is insufficient to explain the growing influence of technology, digital networks, economic interdependence and flexible partnerships. To overcome this limitation, the study introduces the idea of networked multipolarity to explain how states, institutions, technology, markets and partnerships are increasingly connected. For the better understanding of this transformation India is taken up as a suitable example that represents the role of other emerging powers. The focus is to analyse India’s increased influence particularly through its strategic autonomy, multi-alignment, digital capabilities and wider global engagement. The study also considers the challenges in the path of networked multipolar system.
