Abstract	In the poems of the national poet G.S. Shivarudrappa (GSS), 'love' does not remain just personal love, but expands into universal love and the power to build life. Various dimensions of love in GSS poetry:: Despite the bitterness of the world, he believes that love is the power that gives coolness to life and creates hope. The main idea of his poetry is the love of humanity that transcends the walls of caste, creed, and religion and that man should love man. Not only human beings, but also the love for the companionship, beauty, and entire living beings of nature resonate in his poems
