| Abstract | The study entitled " An Empirical Analysis of the Dimensions of Parents’ Perception towards the Sukanya Samruddhi Yojana scheme, explored the different dimensions of parents' perception of the scheme. For this purpose, the researcher used both primary and secondary data, with the primary data collected from the beneficiaries of the scheme. A well-structured questionnaire was used by the researcher to collect data, and the snowball sampling method was used to identify the beneficiaries of the scheme. Here, the population comprises beneficiaries across the three postal regions of Kerala, namely Trivandrum, Kochi, and Calicut. Here, the researcher used exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses to identify different dimensions of parents’ perceptions of the Sukanya Samruddhi Yojana scheme. Based on the factor analysis, the study found that Safety Concern, Account Opening Procedure, Return on Investment, Future Perspective, and Gender Equality are distinct dimensions and suggested that policymakers should consider these factors when developing strategies. The study will help policymakers better understand parents' perceptions of the scheme, enabling them to plan to ensure enhanced access, adoption, and continuous use of the scheme within the state. |
