| Abstract | Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming education by enhancing personalized learning, intelligent tutoring, automated assessment, learning analytics, and administrative efficiency. While these technological advancements offer significant opportunities to improve teaching and learning, they also raise important ethical, social, and pedagogical concerns related to fairness, transparency, privacy, accountability, and the preservation of human relationships in education. This conceptual paper examines the need to humanize AI by integrating ethical values into educational practices and AI-driven systems. Drawing on the principles of human-centered AI, value-based education, and ethical AI frameworks, the paper argues that technology should complement rather than replace the human dimensions of education. It discusses the significance of embedding core human values such as empathy, respect, integrity, inclusivity, compassion, responsibility, and social justice into the design, implementation, and governance of AI in education. The paper further presents four interrelated frameworks for value-based AI integration: Ethical Design Principles, Human-in-the-Loop Approach, Value-Based Curriculum Integration, and Policy and Governance. These frameworks emphasize transparency, human oversight, ethical literacy, equity, and accountability in AI-enabled educational environments. The paper also highlights the evolving roles of teachers as ethical facilitators and learners as responsible digital citizens capable of critically engaging with AI technologies. It concludes that the future of AI in education depends on maintaining a balance between technological innovation and human values. Humanizing AI is essential for creating inclusive, ethical, and learner-centered educational ecosystems that foster not only academic achievement but also emotional, moral, and social development. The paper offers a conceptual foundation for researchers, educators, policymakers, and technology developers committed to the responsible and value-driven integration of AI in education. |
