| Abstract | Gender bias has hindered many social and cultural developments aswell created obstacles for women and has caused a systematic erasure of their contributions throughout history leading to a role of bias in historical writing against women. This study makes use of significant examples of biases through literature review and studies the historical limitations and restrictions that are still affecting them. The key findings of this study include, the causes of such bias and its effects and contemporary problems, like underrepresentation of women in STEM, and gender pay gap. Apart from discussing the causes and effects, this paper also aims to find ways to include women’s efforts more and not be stuck in gender wars that create more harm than good. |
