Abstract Airway management is a fundamental component of general anaesthesia. Supraglottic airway devices (SGAs) provide an alternative to endotracheal intubation (ETT) for selected patients and procedures. This paper proposes a prospective comparative evaluation of SGA and ETT with emphasis on insertion characteristics, haemodynamic response, ventilation, airway-related complications, and postoperative recovery.
Keywords supraglottic airway device, endotracheal intubation, airway management, general anaesthesia, haemodynamic response, postoperative sore throat, airway complications.
