Abstract The study presents a rigorous longitudinal analysis of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Action Plans at Trent Limited, a leading Indian retail enterprise under the Tata Group, spanning from Fiscal Year 2023-24 to Fiscal Year 2026-27. By systematically applying Braun and Clarke’s (2006) six-phase thematic analysis framework to official corporate disclosure datasets, the research maps a substantial budget expansion and identifies three core latent, conceptually robust themes: (1) Structural Empowerment and Human Capital Lifecycles, (2) Regenerative Ecologies and Nature-Based Adaptation, and (3) Epistemic Governance and Systemic Capacity Building. The analysis reveals a strategic transition within the firm from short-term, localized, and transactional project expenditures to highly integrated, multi-year developmental alliances. This article evaluates the drivers, configurations, and organizational outcomes of this strategic maturation, offering evidence-grounded insights for corporate boards, governance committees, and sustainability practitioners seeking to optimize social capital utility within emerging markets.
Keywords Corporate Social Responsibility, Trent Limited, longitudinal thematic analysis, fast fashion industry.
