Abstract Global attention to sustainable development has increased due to the growing urgency of environmental challenges, highlighting the need for creative solutions that incorporate technology, education, and cultural sensitivity. This article explores how literature shapes ethical and environmental consciousness while simultaneously examining the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in promoting sustainability, especially through its application in sustainability education. AI has become a game-changing tool that can use data analysis, predictive modelling, and resource management to solve difficult ecological problems. AI improves learning in the classroom by facilitating interactive simulations, individualized training, and hands-on involvement with environmental issues.
However, a sustainable future cannot be guaranteed by technical advancement alone. By providing critical insights on technological advancement and its ethical ramifications, the article contends that literature performs an essential complementary role. Literature encourages readers to critically engage with the effects of innovation by fostering empathy, environmental awareness, and moral responsibility through ecological narratives and speculative fiction. The study emphasizes how literary depictions of technology, especially artificial intelligence (AI), serve as both cautions and opportunities, influencing public opinion and conversation on sustainability.
The article suggests an interdisciplinary method that blends scientific knowledge with ethical understanding by incorporating AI with literary studies and environmental education. This method fosters the principles necessary for responsible global citizenship while simultaneously improving cognitive comprehension. In the end, the study comes to the conclusion that a sustainable future depends on the harmonious fusion of technology advancement, educational reform, and cultural narratives that direct human behaviour toward social and environmental well-being.
