Experiencing Old Age: Case Studies of Elderly People in Old Age Home

Abstract Ageing is a serious of processes that begin with life and continue throughout the life cycle. The Indian family has traditionally been described to provide natural social security to the ill, dependent and the older family members. However in recent times, such traditionally described roles of the family has become more and more elusive and that increasingly issues of community care and support for patients without families are beginning to emerge. Rapid growing of industry modernization in India, it has also effected the people in many ways. The tradition of joint family in the culture of Indian society is disappearing slowly which was based on the love, affection and tradition it has also transformed the life of family. The In this study refers to express the experiencing of old age in the based on the case studies through the life time of elderly people experiences and the life history. And the aim of the study express the concept is placed in the complex interplay between the institutions beliefs and personal experiences and the present relationships and contacts with their family then how to understanding and adjustment of this elderly people in the old age home. It also points out that family relations in old age are shaped by the dividing influence of individual life experiences historical events. Social and economic conditions.
