| Country | India |
| Abstract | This paper tries to look at the ways in which the life of some of the partition refugees unfolded over the years, stories which are an enduring testament to human grit and resilience. Beginning from real life stories of destitute women, it moves on to discuss novel ways which men devised to eke out a living in an unfamiliar land and in often hostile conditions. It also goes on to discuss how certain developments in the 1970s and 1980s, ultimately led to betterment of lives of these unfortunate victims of partition. It also briefly discusses how some of these refugees went on to become one of the most successful entrepreneurs in their chosen fields. |
