Country India
Abstract This study investigates the critical factors driving the implementation of Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) projects in energy sector, with a focus on project managers and technical staff in Lucknow, India. Using data collected from 100 respondents, Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) was employed to identify seven key determinants influencing project success. The findings highlight the multidimensional nature of CDM implementation, emphasizing how organizational, technical, and contextual elements collectively shape project outcomes. The study underscores the importance of aligning managerial practices with broader sustainability goals to ensure long-term viability of CDM initiatives. By offering empirical evidence from a regional context, the research contributes to the growing discourse on energy transition and provides actionable insights for policymakers, practitioners, and researchers seeking to strengthen the role of CDM in India’s energy sector.
