| Abstract | Cardiac surgery can impair lung function and increase pulmonary complications. This pilot study evaluated one week of Acapella use in 15 post-cardiac surgery patients, showing significant improvements in FVC, FEV1, FEV1/FVC, PEFR, and MEFR by Day 7. Larger controlled trials are needed to confirm these findings and establish clinical effectiveness. |
