Abstract	terms of language. It can be extended to poetry as well. Their poems 'Gangavatarana' and 'Gangamai', written with the 'Ganges' as the central subject, are proof of this. The metaphor, hope, and expression of the Ganges appear differently in both their poems. The source of both poems is mythology. While Bendre's 'Gangavatarana' has a mythological-spiritual basis, Kambara's 'Gangamai' is a poem that seeks to break myths and build a new myth. While Bendre's is a divine basis, Kambara's is a sad one. Although these two focus on the Ganges, one is a prayer and the other is a myth-breaking satire
