Catalyzing Venture Success Through Entrepreneurial Ecosystems in Startup Scaling: Evidence from an Empirical Online Survey in India

| Abstract | This primary research paper empirically investigates the nexus between entrepreneurial ecosystems and startup scaling success, focusing on technology-driven ventures and small businesses operating within Indian innovation hubs. Utilizing primary data derived from a comprehensive online survey (N=846), this study employs robust inferential methodologies, including independent samples Welch's t-tests leveraging categorical median splits. The research systematically evaluates six distinct hypotheses concerning the differential impacts of venture capital access, mentorship and incubator support, regulatory sandbox participation, talent pool availability, university research proximity, and peer networking density. The empirical analyses yield statistically significant results across all entrepreneurial ecosystem dimensions, leading to a comprehensive rejection of the null hypotheses. The findings demonstrate that structural integration into a robust entrepreneurial ecosystem significantly and positively accelerates startup revenue growth trajectories. Furthermore, the paper discusses underlying socioeconomic mechanisms such as knowledge spillovers, the mitigation of information asymmetry in early-stage funding, and the network economics of talent acquisition. The paper concludes by offering actionable policy recommendations designed to foster self-sustaining, hyper-connected economic development and delineating critical avenues for future longitudinal and experimental research. |
