Abstract Inotropic drugs are essential in the management of critically ill patients with cardiac failure or shock, as they help improve myocardial contractility and maintain adequate tissue perfusion. Since these drugs have a narrow therapeutic range and are often given as continuous infusions, accurate dosage calculation and administration are vital to ensure patient safety. Nursing students, especially in their final year, are expected to possess adequate knowledge and competency in drug calculation before entering professional practice.
