A Review Of White Light-Emitting Phosphors : Historical Development, Recent Progress and Future Application

Author(s) Mr. Mahesh Gowardhan Mundane
Country India
Abstract For future generations for illumination, phosphor modified white diodes that emit light (wLEDs) are becoming more and more common in solid state lighting due to their benefits, which include long lifespan, increased efficiency, compactness, stability, low power consumption, and environmental sustainability. The standard of w-LEDs used in lighting and displays is affected by phosphors. In order to comprehend the necessity of creating new materials for improving the quantum efficiency of commercial white light emitting devices, several materials utilized for conventional displays and wLEDs are addressed. Additionally described
are the development of these possibly useful luminescent substances for WLEDs and its whitelight properties. The text provides a thorough summary of the development and invention of nano-phosphors, their fields of use, and the important turning points in the evolution of artificially generated lighting
