Psychometric Assessment Tools- Personality, Aptitude and Career Interest

Abstract	Career and educational stream selection at the end of Class 10th represents a pivotal decision point in the Indian secondary education system. In schools, where access to structured career guidance is limited, psychometrically sound, locally standardized assessment tools are needed. This study addressed a critical gap in Indian educational psychology, asked a simple but important question can we measure personality, aptitude and career interest accurately in Class 10th students studying in schools? As a Big Five Personality Scale (BFPS) have been developed, validated and published. In continuation this paper presents the psychometric assessment tools specifically for the Aptitude Assessment Battery (AAB) and the Educational Interest Profile (EIP).
