| Abstract | Blended learning has emerged as an effective pedagogical approach that integrates traditional classroom instruction with digital learning environments to enhance teaching effectiveness and student engagement. This paper examines the impact of blended learning on teaching and learning outcomes by focusing on learner-centred instructional models such as the Bridge–Objective–Pre-assessment–Participatory Learning–Post-assessment–Summary (BOPPPS) model and the Presentation–Assimilation–Discussion (PAD) Class. Unlike conventional teacher-centred methods that often rely on one-way knowledge transmission and limit students' active participation, blended learning encourages meaningful interaction, collaborative learning, and continuous feedback. The BOPPPS model promotes goal-oriented learning through clearly defined objectives and systematic assessment, while the PAD Class strengthens learners' critical thinking by balancing classroom instruction with individual reflection and discussion. By combining face-to-face teaching with technology-supported learning strategies, blended learning improves student motivation, knowledge retention, and academic performance. The study argues that adopting these innovative instructional models can transform higher education by fostering active learning, improving communication between teachers and students, and creating more effective and engaging learning experiences. |
