| Abstract | The paper examines storytelling therapy as a transformative approach that promotes emotional healing, agency, and resilience by helping individuals articulate and recontextualize their personal narratives. It highlights the therapist's essential role in creating a safe, empathetic environment through active listening and integrative techniques such as guided imagery and creative writing. The authors analyze how narrative techniques can be integrated into traditional therapeutic models, facilitating cognitive restructuring in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and uncovering unresolved patterns in psychodynamic therapy. Furthermore, the study surveys digital storytelling tools—including blogs, podcasts, and social media platforms—that broaden therapeutic reach and foster supportive communities. Key implementation challenges are addressed, including confidentiality risks, emotional fallout during trauma recounting, client variability, and potential misinterpretation. Finally, the paper outlines future directions, highlighting immersive Virtual Reality (VR) applications, neurobiological research into narrative processing, culturally responsive practices, and group storytelling dynamics |
