| Abstract | Digital transformation has emerged as a strategic imperative for organizations seeking to improve operational efficiency, managerial effectiveness, innovation capabilities, and sustainable competitive advantage. The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI), big data analytics, cloud computing, the Internet of Things (IoT), enterprise resource planning (ERP), and digital communication technologies has fundamentally changed organizational structures, business processes, and managerial decision-making practices. In an increasingly competitive and technologically interconnected business environment, organizations are required to integrate digital technologies with strategic management practices to enhance productivity, organizational agility, employee performance, and overall business effectiveness. This research article examines the relationship between digital transformation and organizational performance, with particular emphasis on the mediating role of technology-driven management practices. The study adopts a systematic literature review-oriented conceptual approach, drawing upon established theoretical frameworks, including the Resource-Based View, Dynamic Capabilities Theory, Technology–Organization–Environment Framework, and Sociotechnical Systems Theory. It explores how digital leadership, data-driven decision-making, process automation, digital human resource management, technology-enabled financial management, and organizational innovation contribute to improved business performance. The conceptual analysis indicates that digital transformation can contribute to organizational performance when technological investments are supported by effective leadership, employee digital competencies, organizational adaptability, and appropriate governance mechanisms. However, cybersecurity risks, resistance to organizational change, inadequate digital infrastructure, financial constraints, and technological skill gaps may restrict the realization of these benefits. The article proposes an integrated conceptual framework explaining the relationship between digital transformation, technology-driven management practices, organizational capabilities, and organizational performance. It concludes that successful digital transformation requires a comprehensive managerial approach that integrates technological innovation with human capital development, strategic alignment, ethical governance, and continuous organizational learning. |
