| Abstract | This paper investigates the financial behavior, scheme awareness, structural constraints, and decision-making competencies of women entrepreneurs in the Nalgonda district of Telangana State. Utilizing primary survey data collected from 650 women entrepreneurs across diverse sectors including beauty parlors, tailoring, grocery, restaurants, retail, and self-help group (SHG) networks, this study applies descriptive statistics, Chi-Square analysis, Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), Factor Analysis, and Stepwise Linear Regression. The findings reveal significant reliance on bank-debt/equity mixtures and private informal credit, with substantial barriers to accessing central funding programs. Factor analysis identifies six key dimensions of entrepreneurial competency: Decision Making, Goal Setting, Problem Solving, Goal Accomplishment, Group Coherence, and Planning. Furthermore, regression analysis indicates that age, educational qualification, business tenure, and credit source significantly dictate overall entrepreneurial competency. Strategic recommendations are offered for policymakers, financial institutions, and program developers to bridge equity gaps and foster sustainable rural-urban business growth. |
