Assessing the Contribution of Mergers and Acquisitions on the Performance of EAC Banks

Abstract Mergers and Acquisitions are the strategic growth devices in the hands of more and more corporations not only to stay in the competition but also to extend their margins, market share, capital and loans increased and became dominance on EAC region. The study assessed the contribution of M&A on the performance of EAC banks from the period 2007-2021 with 19 selected EAC Banks with 123 observations.
