Entrepreneurship and start-ups have become vital drivers of innovation, economic growth, and employment in India. Since the launch of the Start-up India initiative in 2016, India has emerged as the world’s third-largest start-up ecosystem, with over 1,00,000 recognized start-ups across diverse sectors. Despite this progress, challenges such as limited rural finance, regulatory hurdles, skill gaps, and market risks persist. This National Seminar aims to bring together academicians, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and students to critically examine opportunities, address challenges, and chart a sustainable roadmap for India’s entrepreneurial future aligned with inclusive development.
Objectives of the Seminar
◈ To study trends, opportunities, and challenges in India’s start-up ecosystem.
◈ To examine the role of key government initiatives in promoting entrepreneurship.
◈ To analyze the contribution of start-ups to employment, innovation, and sustainability.
◈ To identify major barriers faced by emerging entrepreneurs.
◈ To promote research and dialogue on entrepreneurship for inclusive growth.
◈ To suggest policy measures for strengthening start-ups, especially in rural and semi-urban areas.
