Abstract The prompt administration of first-aid drugs can save lives during medical emergencies such as anaphylaxis and hypoglycemia. However, administering these drugs, often requires needle self-injection, which can be difficult for patients under emergency conditions. As a solution, we propose an implantable device that is capable of administering first-aid drugs ondemand, such as epinephrine and glucagon, via a non-invasive, simple application of a magnet from the outside of the skin. This device is known as the implantable device with a magnetically rotating disk (iMRD).
